A travel system is a pushchair, pram or stroller base which has fittings to securely attach a baby car seat so that baby can be moved from the car in the seat and be pushed around without being disturbed. In the early months it can be very convenient to take the sleeping baby from the car in their seat.
There is a small choice of twin travel systems which can take two car seats and, until recently, these have all been tandem model pushchairs, that is, where one baby is behind the other.

The EasyWalker Duo originates from the Netherlands. It is a side by side pushchair in which the babies can face either the direction of travel or they can face the rear. There is research to suggest that is better for babies to travel looking at the people pushing them.
The Easy Walker Duo is unique in being a side by side pushchair that also offers a travel system option. It is sold with adapters which are compatible with Maxi-Cosi Cabrio or Cabri car seats.
Features of the Easy Walker Duo for Newborn Twins
The pushchair is extremely attractive and comes in a range of funky modern colours. It is in the shape of a three wheeler jogger but it actually has four large chunky wheels. It has 360 degree turn swivel wheels which can be placed in fixed position. It has an adjustable height handle bar. The adjustable seat positions include completely flat which means they are suitable for newborn babies.
Weigh 17kg (37lbs). Dimensions: W76cm, L 109cm, H(max)116cm (inches: 29.8", 43", 45.7"); folded 89cm, 76cm, 50cm (35",29.8",19.5").
This width is the same as most quality side by side pushchairs, which means it will fit through doors and spaces in public which are wheel chair accessible, but it will not fit through standard British domestic front doors.
The carrycots for newborn babies are sold as separate items, as are the car seats. To have this whole travel system for newborn twins will be quite expensive, but the price is in line with the alternative travel systems. Parents of twins will find that, unfortunately, durable twin strollers are not cheap.
